To be, or not to be: that is the question.
If one is not clear about being here, one's systems are busy creating exit strategies in the form of illness, or accidents.
One of the first things I ask a new client is, ”Do you want to be here?” This is usually answered with, “Well, I don’t want to die”. Most people are unaware that they have a death wish running their lives. They hate their relationship, their kids, their job, are afraid of the future, or whatever, so their body is constantly trying to leave. Or, they may have a “better life” they are hoping to go to. If they are Christians, they may want to go and be with Jesus, or their departed loved ones, etcetera.
Well, if the desire, conscious or not, is strong enough, guess what? Their whole being is trying to oblige by manifesting a whole series of life threatening conditions, which their well-meaning family, friends, acquaintances and colleagues keep interfering with through prayer, healing, medical intervention, etcetera. I am sure everyone knows the person who has a constant stream of serious illnesses, which as one is healed, another one shows up very quickly. They are “full-time”, or career patients, who always have some drama running, which has everyone fussing and rescuing them. Ultimately, they are being loved to death, and don’t have to take any responsibility for themselves, or anyone else, for that matter.
So, the first thing to do is to get clear on whether they want to live, or die. Very few people even think they have a choice. After 40 years of being a healer, I know that they do. Have you decided yet?
Are you really living, or does life just keep happening to you? “I don’t want to die”, and “I really want to be here” are two very different dynamics. If the “Get me out of here” tape is still the default, it’s time to take a look at what you want, and if you really want to be here, choose and commit.
Do you have an exit strategy running in you at this time, or do you really want to be here?
For the record, I have no judgment either way. If you really don’t want to be here, own that, stop the game of having people rescue you, and leave consciously.
